Built for rock and metal drummers, the Artist Matte Black Edition combines powerful projection, focused attack, and commanding stage presence. Its 100% birch shell construction delivers a punchy, articulate tone with impressive volume, making it equally at home in rehearsal rooms, recording studios, and live venues.

Finished in striking matte black lacquer and complemented by black nickel hardware, the kit offers a modern, aggressive aesthetic that stands out on any stage. Multiple configuration options — 2-up/1-down, 1-up/2-down, or 2-up/2-down — give players the flexibility to create a setup that suits their playing style and performance needs.

For even greater versatility, the kit can be expanded into a double bass drum-style configuration with the optional 2-piece PowerPack, which adds a 13" tom and additional tom holder.

Designed for both performance and practicality, the kit features ISO-mounted rack toms and low-mass lugs to maximise shell resonance, sustain, and tonal clarity. An integrated memory lock system ensures fast, consistent setup every time, while the matching 14" snare delivers the volume, crack, and definition required for heavier musical styles.
